Ratings & Reviews of La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant
  1. Poor attitudes/ Poor service
I have been to La Parilla several times because it is close to where I live. The last time we were there we had a small problem with one of the plates and had to send it back to the kitchen. The bartender apparently was offended and never came back to see if we would like another drink,or needed anything else.Although she did stand on the other side of the bar and smerk at us a few times. She not only lost a good sale that night (because we had went there to drink), she lost good customers. BAD SERVICE ! (0u812didyou, 07/07/2009)

  2. Great spot for Mexican
La Parrilla has a great and varied menu. I've had their fajitas, chimichangas, etc. Recently, I also had an incredible salad (Steak Provencal Salad?) that they make with grilled steak, mixed greens, cranberry vinagrette, gorgonzola cheese, and tortilla strips. It was an excellent "lighter" option for a hot summer evening paired with a couple strong margueritas on the patio. The service and food is consistently good and the atmosphere is very nice. 3. Large Popular Mexican restaurant
Large Mexican restaurant located in the upper parking deck of the Walmart Shopping Center off of I-75 and Howell Mill. This place has become the "It" place within the local community. It is always busy, lunch or dinner. On week-ends parking is impossible and the line is out the door with a 45 minute wait. There is an extremely large u-shaped bar in the center with booth and table seating surrounding. There is a spacious, heated, outside covered patio as well. Don't worry, you wont miss any part of the big game due to the ample coverage provided by ceiling mounted flat widescreen TV's hung in the corners. A popular family dining place, so be prepared to see LOTS of young children, toddlers and infants. The food is as expected from a Mexican restaurant. The menu holds all the usuals. Nothing about the foods I have eaten have ever stood out in flavor or presentation. However, the thin chips presented upon seating at the table are amazing and made fresh in house! The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable, although extremely busy especially during a packed house so don't expect them to be around much. You wont be marooned though because the number of staff is abundant. So you can always get help when needed by simply flagging down someone regardless of whether or not they service your specific table. I have been here more than once and the last time I went, it was a super packed Friday night. I thought we would be stuck waiting since the line was out the door, but we agreed to take the 1st available seating and were taken directly to a tiny two person patio table. My date ordered an appetizer for his main meal. They brought that out before they had even come back to ask me what I wanted to eat. At that point my date was already 90% through with his meal and I was left there watching him eat. When the wait staff did finally reappear I had to explain that I needed a rush put on my dinner. The kitchen was most accommodating with this request and my meal was brought out fresh and hot within 10 minutes. What service! I can't say that I would go out of my way to return to this restaurant but in a pinch it will do. The fact that it is so overly popular, making the parking a nightmare and the wait a possibly long one, I would advise anyone thinking of going to plan well ahead, leave plenty of time to just mill around at the bar waiting on a table and consider leaving the kids at home. 4. Amazing! by Laney S. at InsiderPages
This is my favorite Mexican place in the whole world! They have such amazing fajitas and fajita nachos...you get to choose how you want your steak cooked so that it is not too dry or red for your taste. Beware of the long waits on Friday evenings but the line seems to move quickly...even for large parties. The food is priced reasonably for a typical Mexican restaurant in the area but the food is more than worth it!! I highly recommend. (Citysearch User, 10/16/2008)

  5. Great food, great for catering! by Susanne S. at InsiderPages
La Parilla has always been one of my atlanta favorites for mexican food. You can't beat the queso and burrito la parilla! Recently I also placed a large take-out order for a party I was having and the food and service were awesome. They also offer very professional catering options with in-home set up for large parties! 6. que mal manejo de enpleados by jose v. at InsiderPages

  8. Good new addition to Midtown/Westside
It's new. It's good. It's crowded. Be a man and get in line - the food is good. It's a good solid mexican lunch. It's new so it's clean and shiny. It's not unique or the best, but it is good and predictable. There can be a wait at lunch and they don't always get the order just right. But the staff is very friendly and the chips are nice and light! (ladieswholunch, 03/03/2008)
