Ratings & Reviews of Benihana
  1. Sick. Poor Service.
We decided to try Benihana for the first time, as we live within close proximity. We assumed that the food and service would at least be on par with the rest of the hibachi restaurants in the area; sadly mistaken. We had an unattentive, unintelligible waiter. Our drinks were empty the entire time(even after requesting a refill). Strike one. Our food was bland and over-priced. The fried rice was dry. Strike two. Upon arriving home(less than one half mile), both of us were sick to our stomachs. Do yourself a favor and go to Nakato on Cheshire Bridge. The food rocks. The service rocks. (hc02ws6, 05/25/2009)

  2. Sick as a dog
After eating their regular lunch with scallops, I was sick as a FIEND during the evening, all through the night and into the morning. I'd have to be a moron to ever eat there again. Whatever they are using for ingredients, flavor, utencils, etc. to feed an enormous amount of people is just plain old or bad. I have never been that sick in my life. NEVER AGAIN!!! 3. Not impressed
My finace and I went here for dinner and drove from Gainesville, food was so bland!!! Meats were way over cooked after I had told chef Medium for my filet. Shrimp was so tough and not tasty. Glasses set empty until we got servers attention for a refill!!!! Will not be going back here ever again, and told a lot of people to not waste the money. (jode8462, 01/30/2006)

  4. This is my favorite place!!!
I've only been twice in my life, and I can't wait to go back! The staff was SO NICE, especially toward my children. The food was so delicious! Make sure you get the Hibachi rice...it's so worth it!!! Our chef was wonderful and entertaining. It was a night I will never forget! (mkmullis, 05/23/2005)

  5. Never Know What to Expect
I've been here about 4 times, mostly lunching with co-workers. Each time I've had the same dish (Spicy Chicken), and each time it has tasted COMPLETELY different (ranging from really good to totally BLAND). The food is inconsistently prepared...all depends on how experienced your chef is. Let's just say on my last visit, I used salt & gallons of soy sauce to flavor my food. Not impressed..... 6. Yummy "American" Japanese food
Love the food. Lunch is the best value - about $8 for a 2-meat combo with salad [or soup on request] and steamed rice. Hibachi rice is a little extra but well worth it. I eat here as often as possible. (ilanka, 01/05/2003)

  7. Awesome!
Not only is the entertainment really there while watching your meal be prepared, the food is incredible. A visit you will not forget, ever. (aneva_smith, 11/26/2002)

  8. Kids will love it
My husband and I took our 2-year-old son here for dinner on a weekend. He had a great time, of course, but we were pleasantly surprised as well. Appetizers weren't anything to be excited about, but my filet was perfectly cooked; my husband's seafood dish was nicely spiced. Service was friendly, as well. Definitely a good place to take younger kids. (SueOstermann_Citysearch, 07/18/2002)

  9. Family Fun
Great restarunt to take the kids out for a night of fun with mom and dad. Sushi is good as well. (Glenn, 05/20/2002)
